Operations Assistant  - clean energy tech firm,  Manchester c. £23K pro-rata. temp to perm contract 

This is an exciting client facing role in a fast-growing energy technology company (tech start up vibe) – you’ll be dealing with customers, installation partners and internal team members over the phone and by email, so we’re looking for an enthusiastic, confident approach to work.
 
The role has a very good chance of converting to permanent status after the initial 3 months.
 
The company develops and installs battery systems that capture electricity from solar panels in people’s houses, significantly reducing CO2 emissions and fuel bills. Their products are already installed in over 1000 homes in the UK and with significant funding they’re expanding the team.

About you:

The role will suit someone with a highly enthusiastic approach to customer service and preferably with an interest in renewable energy / clean technology. 
 
A graduate in renewable energy or sustainability coupled with some experience in customer facing roles would be perfect.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring every customer enjoys a 5* experience
  • Providing first line customer support including troubleshooting and internal escalation 
  • Managing customer cases to ensure timely, accurate and effective resolution
  • Engaging with customers throughout the install booking process
  • Communicating with customers to arrange survey, installation and maintenance visits
  • Arranging logistics to ensure 100% success of day-to-day operations 
  • Communicating daily with installation partners across the UK
  • Providing general administrative support in the delivery of Operations daily functions
  • Reporting weekly on Operations metrics
 
Required skills and experience:
  • Communication skills; clarity and confidence communicating both verbally and written
  • Highly organised with administrative skills and an attention to detail
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to work to deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and eager to learn 
  • Personable and able to work well in a team of people
  • Ideal candidate will have experience working in customer facing roles
  • Experience of using CRM software and Microsoft Office
 
Compensation
to £23K pro-rata, depending on experience
