Investment Analyst / Financial Modeller – international renewable energy project acquisition £45,000 - £60,000 per annum + bonus
Play a key role supporting investment decisions for a very busy international energy investment firm securing solar energy assets in LatAM, APAC, North America and Europe.
You'll be focussed on running complex financial models to inform investment decisions but the role will ultimately offer significant personal development opportunities.
The role is based in the London office but there is a distinct opportunity to travel with the role and potentially to work in an international office overseas (probably Sydney, Australia).
You’re a high achieving, ambitious, investment analyst with superb financial modelling skills and probably around 24 months' post graduate experience ( we are open to applications from high calibre confident individuals with less experience and also more accomplished analysts with a motivation to continue to specialise in financial modelling.
Knowledge of the renewable energy sector, specifically large scale solar, would be a huge advantage although M&A within broader infrastructure projects is also very interesting, either from a private equity or corporate advisory role.
You'll be comfortable running sensitivity analysis on financial models and a have strong grasp about cash flow and revenue models and you have a meticulous approach and freakish attention to detail.
You’ll support the Investment team the Investment Director and the Investment Committee by scrutinising potential deals in line with company investment protocols.
You’re a confident and capable communicator able to create strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
You’ll be excited by a new challenge and comfortable working in a small team where the ability to be self sufficient is key (it’s not a large corporate with an extended support structure).
- First class financial modelling capability.
- Freakish levels of attention to detail.
- Renewable energy related investment management experience (strong preference for solar)
- Top quality University education (probably masters level) A* academic.
- Highly developed communication skills with fluency in English.
- Ability to work full time in the central London office
An attractive package will be offered to attract the best candidates. Likely (gross) base salary range is £45,000 - £60,000 plus bonus and benefits.
